Global Missions and Local Outreach

Our Vision

Pursue God, Embrace people, and Transform society through real community. The Rock Global Outreach Team wants to carry out this mission to “Transform Society.”

Our Purpose

The Rock Global Outreach Team exists to support missionaries and ministries that reflect our goals and values. We are committed to educating, equipping, and mobilizing the body for local and global ministry.

Our Focus

Here at The Rock we are using the Acts 1:8 model as our Biblical strategy for local and global outreach.

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts1:8)

We have created our four teams to reach out with the good news in our Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the Ends of the Earth.

Internationally, we put an emphasis on the unreached and children at risk.

Our Calling

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations; baptizing them in the name of the father, Son and Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:19)

At The Rock we take these words seriously. We believe in the Holy Spirit’s ability to radically change lives and we desire to be a part of God’s pursuit of lost souls. We do this by heeding the call in what the Apostle Paul wrote in Romans 10:13-15:

"…for, everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. How then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

At The Rock we are uniquely blessed. Our calling is to turn that outward, and be a blessing to other so our feet are beautiful as we move out for Him.

Service Opportunities

At The Rock we believe that every member of the body has a unique calling, and our desire is to help you fulfill that calling. The Global Outreach Team provides a variety of local, national, and international outreach opportunities for people of all ages.

Our Jerusalem is Castle Rock. Our outreach in Castle Rock is three-fold:
  1. We are developing a team to reach out to the people living in the Meadows and surrounding areas. As an extension of The Rock, we want to love on the people in this area.
  2. There are opportunities for people from our church to visit those shut in at the local jail here in Castle Rock.
  3. Men of Action is a group of men that reach out and assist others in need in our community.

Our Judea is Denver and this team reaches out in two different ways:
  1. Once a month, every first Saturday, we take a group from The Rock to feed the homeless in connection with a local church in that area.

Our Samaria is the USA. The Sioux Indians in South Dakota are our target at the moment. We do two things each year for them:
  1. Each summer we take a group from The Rock on an outreach to them. We stay there and just love on them and share the good news with them.
  2. Each Christmas we get shoe boxes together to send Christmas gifts to these lovely and needy children.

  2. India: the Dalits, or what are called the “untouchables" of India
  3. Africa: kids at risk and church planting
  4. Mexico: leadership training and church planting
